The University of Saint Louis (USL) Basic Education School (BES) – Supreme Learner Government (SLG) arrived at the venue of the International Assembly of Youth for UNESCO (Y4U) at Manila Grand Opera Hotel in Santa Cruz, on Saturday morning, 9th of December.

The delegation includes 10 officers from the Senior High School SLG, six officers from the Junior High School SLG, and the two moderators namely Mr. Marvin C. Baccay and Mr. Romnick D. Magusib.

It was earlier reported that the SLG, individually known as Supreme Student Government (SSG), of the two units were accredited as Clubs for UNESCO for the year 2023 after successfully completing the requirements and passing three rounds of screening and panel interviews.

Karol Jozef Mabazza, SHS SSG Public Information Officer, will be contending in the On-the-Spot Photography Contest, with Earl Khenedy Bosi, SHS SSG VP for Internal Affairs, as the bet for Essay Writing.

Clyde Francis Macababbad, SHS SSG Auditor; Jemarick Renniel Carag, SHS SSG Logistics Coordinator; Helmer Vicxen Cammayo, JHS SSG President; and Elisa Mae Duldulao, JHS SSG Secretary are the team for the Quiz Bowl competition.

Mira Jean Abuzo, SHS SSG Sociocultural Coordinator and Joren Maribbay, JHS SSG Auditor will compete in the Poster Making contest.

Y4U, held on December 9-11, 2023, features Walking Tours to Cultural Heritage Sites in Manila and the Cultural and Ambassadors Night where JHS SSG officers Jamilla Chloe Espiritu, Vice President, and Karl Venson Yacas, Treasurer, will vie for the titles of Youth for UNESCO Ambassador and Ambassadress.

The SHS and JHS Supreme Learner Government will be awarded their certificates of accreditation from the National Coordinating Body of UNESCO Clubs in the Philippines (NCBUCP) Inc. and UNESCO National Commission of the Philippines.
