TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan – Student and Teacher-Researchers presented their papers in the third National Senior High School Research Congress (NSRC) hosted by the University of Saint Louis, on Saturday, June 3.
Student leaders and teacher-facilitators welcomed and ushered six visiting schools to the New EMC where the opening and awarding ceremony was conducted.
Present in the morning ceremony were Francis Ventura, Ph.D., DepED Region 2’s chief of Policy Planning and Research; Rev. Fr. Macwayne N. Maniwang, CICM, Ph.D., University President; Emmanuel James Pattaguan, Ph.D., Vice President for Academics; and Claire T. Gumarang, MAEd, SHS Principal.
The seven participating senior high schools were Tabuk City National High School, Saint Louis University, Cauayan City Stand-Alone Senior High School, University of Perpetual Help System Dalta – Molino Campus, University of La Salette, Incorporated, Divine Word College Vigan, and University of Saint Louis.
The paper presentations immediately proceeded after a short health break in the individual room categories at the N-Building and SHS E-Library of the main campus.
There were 10 research clusters accommodating no less than 100 studies in Mental Health and Well-Being, Engineering and Technology, Gender Stereotypes and Roles, Youth and Identity, Accountancy and Business Management, Student Behavior and Attitudes, Social Media and its Effect, Teaching and Learning, Science and Technology, and Professional Teachers’.
Each cluster were adjudicated by a chairman and two members of the Board of Panel.
A Best Presenter and three Best Papers were recognized with a certificate and medal.
Certificates of Participation were also given to all presenters and non-presenters.
The 3rd NSRC, spearheaded by the Research Area, marked the end of the Senior High School Department’s activities for the 2022-2023 school year.
