First of all, what the hell is a niche?

I see that word all over WordPress and the internet from different Bloggers and Writers that keep saying and publishing about it. It just bothers me that I don’t know what it is.

Do you know what is it?

Everyone here keeps telling stories about how they got a niche they are comfortable with. I can’t I? Am I late or just really, really early?

Turns out niches are like topics you write about, I think? But in a long-term time. That you stick with trying to get an audience and following in WordPress.

Beginners like me are trying to find a niche we can write about. It takes more than the whole 7 months I have been Blogging. I realized that others have already found theirs.

Others have already garnered a massive amount of following from a niche. Like a poem writer, a book or film reviewer and motivational blogger. I have not found mine yet. And it is hard.

Why can’t I find one, can I?

I have been testing out many topics, categories and tags that can stand out in my blog. I write about news, sports, my life and blogging journey, yet, none of it works.

Personally, it’s easy for me to write anything. I will still continue to write about what I want to share. This is a personal site after all. Big time Bloggers have it all. A good website, niche and career. But most of them are really, really old.

They, I think are speakers, hosts, TV personalities and journalists. I admire the work of some Bloggers and Writers, that provide quality posts you can really relate with and solve your problems on.

Blogging is still relevant on the Internet and I know that. I mean, who still reads the newspapers, people can read the news on social media now a days. It’s that easy, like 1 2 3. One tap on the phone and your on Facebook reading a post from a TV station’s page on your news feed.

This hobby of mine will change into a wider form of Journalism. Not Modern Blogging but a real news and media platform. Facebook, I think is unvailing a new writing platform just like WordPress and Medium. But can it beat them?

The news was told months ago, hey Facebook where is it now!? HAHA no rush, keep it nice, please, I want to try it. Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg said that $1 Billion will be used to boost creators on the platform, but YouTube is paying more.

Competition is tight in the Internet and it’s gonna get tighter.

Back to the real topic, NICHES!!! Niche is a snitch. What am I doing wrong? Oh niche, where are you? Niche, come out. Please.

Whatever, wherever you are. What you are. I am gonna find you. Little snitch. I am not going to waste a year choosing a long-term topic that I will stay and write about for a long time just to get an audience. I don’t care if no one reads my blog, as long as I write what I want to say.

It’s gonna be a long ride for the nicheville. Hang on tight dear reader.

I am still in my first year of Blogging. Still a beginner, a kid. A Novice Blogger, that quests for Filipino readers and his niche at WordPress. I don’t have a clear understanding of this path. I am not omniscient, FYI.

Maybe I will be a Book Writer or Journalist, who knows. That’s enough for this writing extravaganza, Good Night, Morning, Day, what ever time your reading at. – Karol
