Among Us is an online multiplayer social deduction game developed and published by American game studio Innersloth. It was released on iOS and Android devices in June 2018 and on Microsoft Windows in November 2018, featuring cross-platform play between these platforms.
Why is this game so popular?
Among Us has seen a quick rise in popularity due to a combination of multiple factors. It’s a unique game with an interesting asymmetrical multiplayer, it’s easy to learn thanks to a simple premise, and it’s available for (almost) free on a variety of popular platforms, including PC and mobile.
The first time I played this game, I was so confused. A few practices made me learn the maps. I am not a great Impostor though. I played with others online. The game eventually had several hack threats, but it was fixed.
I still play with my friends and other gamers online. It is a great Multiplayer Game. You really need a high IQ when you stumble on voting. When you are a Crewmate, you and everyone else must coordinate. The Impostor always waits. I also watch videos on YouTube for some information.

Blog 31 – Among Us Game Review
Last March 31st, Among Us launched a new map called “The Airship” and an account feature for reporting. Although I have noticed that the game quickly lost its popularity too, still many other players enjoy it as much as I did.
But this live player count chart from April 1, 2021 showed that from 20,000 players it rose up to 130,000 in under 2 hours on Steam alone.
“Crewmates, you really showed up for the Airship drop!! Thank you for the support you continually give us. Endlessly grateful”, Innersloth wrote on a tweet.
From three previous maps, The Skeld, Mira HQ and Polus, I had more fun playing at The Skeld. Which is the map I often play at. I find it more basic and enjoyable. The new one (The Airship) though is a little bit more difficult for me to learn on.
It is bigger and actually has new tasks of course. The account feature is the one I don’t pretty much like. Now I cannot change my name and the chatbox only lets you to say chosen phrases. It has one job, to be able to report on other players. Well I haven’t observed it quite much so I’ll explain it to a another post soon.
And this is just my opinion about the game’s new update. Mind you that I do not yet have an account to change my name and to chat free. I will update the app again and write another post. Also I am not logged-in yet, sheesh. Will talk about that soon.
